FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN.
The Queen Victoria Women’s Centre Shop is a feminist design concept store in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, showcasing locally sourced and designed products by women (cis, trans) and non-binary artists, designers and makers form across Victoria.
*When we say women, that word always includes trans and gender diverse women and sistergirls.
QVWC SHOP stands on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and pay respects to elders past, present and emerging.
FOUNDED IN ELLIE’S HOMETOWN OF EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND IN 2016, SQUINT MOVED TO MELBOURNE IN 2018 WHERE IT HAS CEMENTED ITSELF IN THE ETHICAL FASHION AND DESIGN SCENE.
SQUINT creates clothes for people who experiment with their personal style. Every piece is lovingly hand made in Ellie’s Carlton studio focusing on natural fibre fabrics from lower impact sources such as dead-stock and vintage. Squint has collaborated with other Melbourne creatives such as Frances Cannon and most recently with Dorkus Design to create accessories for the Frankie Good Stuff Award winning collection ‘Personal Best’. SQUINT strives to be an ethical, inclusive brand inviting everyone to step into the playful and fun side of fashion.
