    it’s time, folks – meet your 2022 good stuff award winners!

    we were mightily impressed by all your entries this time around, but in the end, there could be only six winners! and oh boy, are they chock-full of talent. each of these wonderful winners have taken home all $1000 cash, mentorship via @creativeplusbusiness’s GROW program, a feature in issue 111 of frankie (which you can check out now by picking up the mag from your local stockist!), and a year’s subscription to frankie.

Cuteness overload! Tinsel queen Rachel Burke and fashion labels Squint and EAT.ME.DO held a runway show bursting with colour.

What do you get when you put three frou-frou-obsessed maximalists in one room? A heckin’ cute time, that’s what. If you were lucky enough to head along to ‘It’s My Party’ during VAMFF, or perhaps caught the sugary fashion show on Instagram Live, you may have thought you were having a fever dream.

Designers EAT.ME.DO, Squint and Rachel Burke are putting on a one night only runway of your childhood dreams. Think Women’s Weekly birthday cakes cross colour explosion. This will be the party of all parties as you step back in time to when musical chairs and ice cream cake were life, as you become a party guest at the biggest kids party for adults. What’s not to love about that? Put on a party hat, grab a slice of fairy bread and enjoy the wonderfully creative outfits dancing around on stage.

The super-rad designers behind EAT.ME.DO and Squint, together with tinsel-extraordinaire Rachel Burke, are taking us back to a time when jelly shoes, glitter pens and the trusted spaghetti strap were all in a day’s work.

Squint is a ready-to-wear fashion brand founded in 2016 by Ellie Vallely in her hometown of Edinburgh. Now based and handmade in her Melbourne studio, Squint focus’s on playful cuts and unique textile manipulation, striving to be aspirational but accessible through nostalgic references and functional design. The Squint customer buys special pieces but wears them everyday, not afraid to fall over, sit in the grass and go dancing.
